The euphoric feeling when you watch a beautiful sunset, when you smell a flower, see the stars, eat good food, sit in silence, or jam to your favourite music. That feeling of serene satisfaction as it soothes your nerves, makes your tummy full and leaves you happy.

Have you had that? Maybe you did or maybe you have to think harder.

Every person wants to be happy. A kind of happy they will like.

We have dedicated thousands of quotes, poems and books on happiness. The pursuit of it or the dream of it, we are obsessed with happiness to such a level that we dedicate lifetimes in the achievement of it.

Life, as it seems, is a runner behind the medal she is already wearing.

And then there is the delight of little things. Things you usually overlook. Things like riding a bicycle, feeling the wind, knowing the warmth of the sun, or the coolness of the ground and the grass. The delight of things that just happens so aboundingly around us that we take it for granted. The delight is a real treasure. It puts a smile in your head when your face least expects it.

One may argue that happiness comes from having satisfaction in life. Since a satisfied person is always a happy person. But satisfaction may come in the way of ambition. For a satisfied person rarely wanders.

But one can easily be satisfied at the moment and yet have a burning desire for the next moment. And then as delight seeps in of work and other things, satisfaction fills the heart with another moment well spent. Each moment is a lifetime for a moment.

Having satisfaction surely leads to happiness and a desire to still do more brings satisfaction to a whole new level. And one can easily be satisfied, if not for the achievement then surely for the effort. And there are plenty of reasons to be satisfied. Heck, you can be satisfied with anything- a euphoric feeling, some delight, some curiosity fed, some stupid mistake to laugh on, some lessons learned or a shit well done(Literally). Yes, you can be satisfied really easily. The question isn’t really how but why not?

If we can easily make ourselves satisfied with the small things, we can easily make sure the pursuit is well above the mark. You may not have made it in the world to be happy with life, however, the world surely has made itself for you to be happy with life. Are you looking then, for happiness?
